The was the day of the primary election in Gangster infested Chicago, Illinois at the height of government corruption there.
Complete with 44 pages, rag edition in great condition.

wikipedia notes: The Pineapple Primary was the name given to a Republican primary election held in Chicago on April 10, 1928; more than 60 bombs were thrown during the campaign and at least two politicians were killed. The name derives from the slang use of "pineapple" to refer to a hand grenade.
