The top of the front page has a three column headline: "AMELIA PUTNAM STARTS HOP TO PARIS EXACTLY FIVE YEARS AFTER LINDBERGH'S TAKEOFF" with subheads and photo. (see) Lengthy text continues on page 2. (see) This was the first female solo flight across the Atlantic.
