SECTION 8 ONLY of the New York Times, March 6, 1927
* Considered the very first full-length science fiction film
* Sci-fi drama movie opening day advertisement
* "Metropolis" - German director Fritz Lang
Page 6 has a 7 by 4 inch advertisement for the film "Metropolis" on it's opening in America. Page 7 has an opening day review headed: "An Impression Of the German Film 'Metropolis" as well as a related photo. (see) This movie first appeared in New York City one week prior to the rest of the country making this an extremely rare item. And this silent film is considered the very first Sci-Fi featured-length movie.
Complete section 8 only with all 22 pages, light toning at the margin, irregular along the spine, a few small archival mends at unrelated areas, generally nice.
