December 07, 1941
Interesting pair of consecutive dates:
THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Dec. 7, 1941 From the day of the Pearl Harbor attack but not yet known, with a banner headline: "Roosevelt Sends Personal Note to Emperor In 'Final' Effort to Avert War With Japan; Reds Report Nazi Rout West of Moscow". This is the front leaf only & trimmed at the bottom causing loss to the last line.
THE WILLIAMSPORT SUN, Penna., Dec. 8, 1941 with a banner above the masthead: "VOTES WAR DECLARATION" and beneath the masthead: "BATTLESHIP AND DESTROYER LOSTS IN JAPANESE ATTACKS" with more. Present are pages 1-8 of a 14 page issue, nice condition.
