William Cowper poem - the abolition of the Slave Trade...

GAZETTE OF THE UNITED STATES, For The Country, Philadelphia, May 25, 1807  Page 3, under the heading: "THE ABOLITION OF THE SLAVE TRADE", has the timely reprinting of the William Cowper poem, "The Morning Dream" (shown in this issue simply as "A Dream"). 
Also present is a letter Alexander Petion, the 1st President of Hayti, to the "men of color" from his country who were seeking asylum in the United States, signed: PETION. and another from President Thomas Jefferson to General Andrew Jackson, signed: TH : JEFFERSON.
Complete in 4 pages, a bit of wear and some dampstaining, in average condition.

Note: Nice to have the printing of Cowper's poem so soon after the enactment of the Slave Trade Act of 1807. It would still be another quarter-century before slavery in the Britain Empire would be abolished.
