The front page has one column headings concerning the recent completion of the Atlantic Cable, the telegraph cable stretched across the ocean which connected Europe with the United States. The headings include: "OLD WORLD" "BY OCEAN TELEGRAPH" "London Dispatches to Thursday Night" "Political Affairs in All Parts of Europe" and more (see). An attempt the previous year was unsuccessful as the cable broke.
Eight pages, nice condition.
