This was one of just a few newspapers which printed: "Confederate States Of America" in the dateline.
Pages 1, 2 & 4 have various war reports with heads including: "From Richmond--Repulse of the Terrible Iron Clad Gunboats...Our Men in High Spirits" "Proclamation of Gov. Letcher--Resolved to Defend the City to the Last" "The Latest News" "The Battle of Armageddon" and more.
The back page has a nice report: "The Destruction of the Merrimac"
There is also a Proclamation" concerning martial law in South Carolina, signed in type by: Jefferson Davis.
Four pages, minor rubbing at the fold, nice condition.
