* Premier weekend of "As Good As It Gets"

A terrific issue on the second weekend of the motion picture hit "Titanic" and the 1st weekend premier for "As Good As It Gets" - perhaps no better issue could be found than this, the leading newspaper from the home of the entertainment industry - the Hollywood area's prime publication.

Also present are great double-page ads for: "Amistad", "The Postman", "James Bond - 007 - Tomorrow Never Dies", "Scream" and "Mouse Hunt". Other full-page ads include: "Kundun", "An American Werewolf in Paris", "Mr. Magoo", "Wag The Dog", "Jackie Brown", "L.A. Confidential", "Home Alone 3", "Good Will Hunting", "Flubber", "Anastasia" and "Deconstructing Harry".

Note: Where else might one find authentic, poster-size ads for Opening Day showings, in the most desirable Hollywood-area newspaper - as we were lucky enough to obtain this (and others) indirectly from the Los Angeles Times' own collection? It simply doesn't get any better! In over 40 years of collecting, we have yet to see such unique & dramatic coverage with truly top-shelf, eye-catching displayability (see images).

Pages 10 & 11 of section F has a nice poster-like double page advertisement for the film which had it's opening day just 7 days earlier. (see) A quite rare issue as it would not have been saved since it contains no historically significant content. Many other nice movie advertisements as well.
Present are the complete sections A and F only which totals 82 pages, nice condition.
