CHICAGO SUNDAY TRIBUNE, January 13, 1946

* Dick Tracy - American comic strip (newspaper)
* 1`st appearance of the 2-Way Wrist Radio - watch

This is the complete color comic section of this date, its significance being the very first appearance in the popular Dick Tracy comic strip of his two-way wrist radio for which Dick Tracy was so famous.
As noted in Wikipedia: "On January 13, 1946, the 2-Way Wrist Radio became one of the strip's most immediately recognizable icons, worn as a wristwatch by Tracy and members of the police force, and may have inspired later smartwatches."
Indeed, the Apple Watch and other smart watches popular today can trace their creative origin to this comic strip.
Complete in ten pages with 20 color comic strips. The Dick Tracy comic is on the front page. Some binding holes at the blank spine, great condition.
