SPRINGFIELD DAILY REPUBLICAN--EXTRA, Massachusetts, Feb. 15, 1862
* Rare Broadside extra
* Battle of Fort Donelson
This is a very desired broadside "Extra", meaning just a single sheet rather than the more typical 4 pages, and printed on the front side only. The reverse is blank.
The first column has Civil War reports with heads and subheads reading: "From Fort Donelson"; "Rebel Accounts of the Battle Thursday"; "A Union Account--More Favorable"; "Burnside Still Moving" and "List of Killed & Wounded at Roanoke".
The Civil War coverage carries over to the 2nd column, with additional reports on the war in part of the 3rd column as well. The balance of the page is taken up with advertisements.
Folio size and in excellent condition.
