* Hanoi's Le Duc Tho and Henry Kissinger shake hands
* Both would soon win the Noble Peace Prize
The front page has the historic announcement: "Viet peace at last; truce Saturday", followed by subheads: "POWs home in 60 days", "Excitement mixed with caution here", and "NLF 'to seriously carry out pact'." Also included is the large 5 1/2 by 6 1/2 inch photo of Henry Kissinger and Le Due Tho shaking hands - both of home would soon receive a Noble Peace Prize for their efforts. The caption reads: "Aftergame Handshake." Nice to have from a newspaper printed in the peace-loving state of Iowa.
Some of the articles are continued on inside pages which are not present, but this front-leaf is in good condition and is quite displayable.
