(5) A set of five Original Newspapers, one each from the first five decades of the 20th century: 1900-1909, 1910-1919, 1920-1929, 1930-1939, and 1940-1949. From the turn of the century through the Great Depression and onward into & beyond WWII, this set of newspapers will provide a glimpse of this 1/2 century like none other - at a great price - less than the cost of 1 "birthday paper". Each five issue set is unique, so feel free to collect more than one.

Things to consider:

1) This date span covers what is known as the pulpish period in newsprint. Some issues (especially the older ones) will be very fragile, may have minor defects (edge tears and minor mends), and will need to be handled with care.

2) As this is a five-issue set, the S&H to a U.S. destination will be as shown - and the lot does not qualify for the free shipping threshold.

3) If ordering folders or portfolios to go with this set, you will need to order at least two. If no storage option is ordered, please know we will pack the set safely.

4) The issues shown are not the actual issues you will receive. They are only representative of the kinds of issues that will be sent - one from each decade of the early 1900's.

Note: In regards to this set... We have a post on the History's Newsstand Blog inviting purchasers of this set to share any "finds". The post may be viewed in full at: Exploring newspapers, 1900-1949… Any Discoveries? (http://blog.rarenewspapers.com/?p=8008)
