A birth-year through time...
A 3 century set... dating back 300+ years...
Item # 570693
January 01, 2014
Three authentic newspapers, exploring a specified birth date (birth year) through time - 100, 200, and 300 years ago. You simply enter a year into the comment field at checkout, and we will provide you with three original newspapers - one each from 100, 200, and 300 years prior to the year entered. No other gift could ever provide the recipient with such a look into their past, while fostering a love for history and establishing an anchor to time. Combine this 3-issue set with a newspaper of your own from the actual year they were born for an extra-special touch.
Examples: If they were born in 1982, enter 1982 into the comment field at checkout. We will send three authentic issues, one from 1682, one from 1782, and one from 1882. If they were born in 2005, we would send three authentic issues, one each from 1705, one from 1805, and one from 1905.
The first two issues will likely be from London. Considering the breadth of England's colonial reach, London newspapers/magazines of the day included a wealth of international reporting - and are great to have. The third issue may be an illustrated issue such as Harper's Weekly (depending upon the fragility of the issues for the year selected).
Note: We can only provide issues (at this price) for years requested from 1980 to the present. If you are looking for a 3-century set for birth years prior to 1980, please be in touch. They can be created, but due to the value of newspapers dated 300 years prior to 1980 (the 1680's and earlier), the package price will be different.
The images show the look and condition of the issues you will receive. Actual issues and sets will vary, but will include an authentic issue from 100, 200, and 300 years prior to your desired birth-year..
Also:You may send this request by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Just mention the "Walk Through Time" package, and the year needed. We'll be in touch.
