* The world premiere of Walt Disney's "Dumbo"
Page 27 contains a lengthy and very favorable review of Walt Disney's newest feature-length animated movie, "Dumbo". Dumbo was first released on October 23, 1941 by RKO Radio Pictures. The fourth film in the Disney animated features library, Dumbo is based upon a child's book of the same name by Helen Aberson and illustrated by Harold Perl.
The review begins: "Ladeez and gentlemen, step right this way--to the Broadway Theatre, that is--and see the most genial, the most endearing, the most completely precious cartoon feature film ever to emerge from the magical brushes of Walt Disney's wonder-working artists!...". with much more (see photos for portions).
Included with the review is a photo from the movie showing Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse (see). The same page contains a somewhat large, illustrated advertisement for the movie playing at the Broadway Theatre (see).
This issue is complete in 44 pages and is in very nice condition.
