This 16 page newspaper has a nice two line, four column headline on the front page: "SCOPES TRIAL OPENS TODAY BATTLE OF EVOLUTION IS ON" with subheads that include: "Throng That Overflowed Rhea County Court House on Hand to Enjoy Battle of the Century". Tells of the beginning of the famous Scopes monkey trial. Other news of the day with several interesting advertisements throughout. Some wear at the margins and somewhat pulpish.
