HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 14, 1859 Illustrations include: 'Plan of the Fortification of Vera Cruz', 'Struggle with a Buck' and 'Panther Hunting in Africa' and a great full page view of: 'The Flood in the Mississippi' plus another full page on the 'Fireworks at the Brooklyn City Hall'. This issue also contains a serialized portion of "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. The back page political cartoon entitled "The American Student at Oxford" features one of the characters entitled "Freshman (from America)" and is Uncle Sam.
