The top of the front page has a five column headline: "U. S. MARINES CRASH INTO SEOUL AS MORE REDS RACE TO FIGHT" with subheads. (see images)
Complete with 40 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, more so along the spine, generally nice.
Background: The U.S. Marines' advance into Seoul on September 21, 1950—spearheaded by the 1st Marine Division following the audacious Incheon landings (Operation Chromite)—served as a decisive geopolitical and strategic turning point that reversed the tide of the Korean War. By capturing the key southern industrial hub of Yeongdeungpo and securing vital Han River crossings, the Marines crippled the Korean People's Army (KPA) defensive grid, severing critical supply and communication lines to North Korean forces besieging the Pusan Perimeter. This tactical encirclement forced a catastrophic North Korean retreat, paving the way for the liberation of the capital through brutal street-by-street combat and culminating in the symbolic restoration of President Syngman Rhee’s government, which definitively transformed a desperate defensive struggle into a triumphant United Nations counter-offensive.
