Item # 730957 ·

THE NEW YORK TIMES, November 14, 1941

  • Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels
  • Speech with "10 Commandments" against Jews
  • Important step in the Jewish Holocaust disaster
  • Includes "Star of David" yellow badge rules

The top of page 11 has a one column heading: "GOEBBELS SPURS ABUSE FOR JEWS" with subheads. This report contains the "Ten Commandments" against the Jews in Nazi Germany. (see images)
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because there was really no reason to save it at the time.
Complete with 48 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, generally in nice condition.

Note: Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels’ essay "Die Juden sind schuld!" ("The Jews Are to Blame!") featured a 10-point manifesto commonly known as his "10 Commandments against the Jews," designed to eliminate German public sympathy and justify the regime's escalating persecution as mass deportations to Eastern Europe began. The manifesto falsely accused world Jewry of engineering World War II and blamed every Jewish individual for the deaths of German soldiers, framing all Jews as internal enemy spies and saboteurs who deserved no chivalry, equality, or public interaction. To enforce the mandatory yellow Star of David decree introduced two months earlier, Goebbels explicitly declared that any non-Jewish German showing pity, maintaining personal relations, or extending assistance to star-wearers was a traitor subject to the same severe state punishment, while asserting that international concern for Jewish welfare merely proved a global conspiracy and that the victims brought all state measures upon themselves.
