Forum on one of the four pages.

Background: The February 1980 seven-night run at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena marked the ambitious world premiere of Pink Floyd’s The Wall tour, a landmark spectacle that redefined rock concert production through immersive theater. As the band performed the entire double album, stagehands progressively constructed a 33-foot-high barrier out of 420 cardboard bricks across the arena, gradually sealing the musicians off from the audience until the dramatic collapse of the wall during the finale. Designed by Gerald Scarfe and brought to life under immense technical demands, the production featured iconic visual elements including giant 30-foot inflatable puppets of the Schoolmaster, Mother, and Wife, a "surrogate band" wearing rubber masks of the musicians, complex animation projections, and a dramatic opening night incident on February 7 where pyrotechnics briefly set fire to an overhead drape. Because of the incredible logistical overhead and financial cost, Los Angeles was one of only four cities worldwide to ever host these original 1980–1981 performances, making the LA Sports Arena run an historic chapter in rock history.
