Page 16 has a 9 x 5 inch advertisement for the opening day premiere of "The Sugarland Express" the following day. (see images) This was Steven Spielberg's very first major theatrical film.
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because there was really no reason to save it at the time.
Complete with 48 pages, light toning along the central fold of the ftpg. only, otherwise quite nice.
Background: The theatrical debut of Steven Spielberg’s first major feature film, The Sugarland Express, on March 31, 1974, marked a monumental turning point in cinema history by introducing the world to a director who would fundamentally redefine modern filmmaking. While Spielberg had already generated industry buzz with his 1971 made-for-TV thriller Duel, this project served as his official transition to big-screen theatrical distribution and immediately highlighted his signature technical mastery of pacing, composition, and emotional resonance. Beyond launching the career of Hollywood's most commercially successful director, the film's production carries an extraordinary historical significance: it sparked the legendary, fifty-plus-year partnership between Spielberg and composer John Williams. This inaugural collaboration laid the groundwork for some of the most iconic and recognizable scores in film history—including Jaws, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones—making the 1974 release of this gripping, Goldie Hawn-led road drama the true genesis of a creative duo that would shape global popular culture for generations.
