Great masthead engraving makes this a displayable newspaper...
THE CONTINENTAL JOURNAL & WEEKLY ADVERTISER, Boston, July 21, 1785 Perhaps the best feature of this issue is the very displayable masthead featuring a great engraving of the U.S. Seal.
The front page is taken up with the continued "History of America". Pages 2 & 3 have various news reports, most from New York, including mention that John Rutledge was named ambassador to the Netherlands, plans for a treaty with the Oneida Indians, a report concerning the commencement of Harvard College, and more.
Four pages, very nice condition.
