THE CONTINENTAL JOURNAL & WEEKLY ADVERTISER, Boston, Oct. 6, 1785 The back page has a letter to Ben Franklin from the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, congratulating him for his safe return to America from France. This is responded by him in part: "...I hope the peace with which God has been graciously pleased to bless us, may be lasting & that the free constitution we now enjoy may long contribute to promote our common felicity..." signed in type: Benjamin Franklin.
