Thanksgiving messages from a Jewish synagogue...
Item # 716514
·
NEW YORK TIMES, Dec. 10, 1865 Pages 2 and 3 contain reports of: "Thanksgiving Sermons" at various New York City houses of worship. Among them is a report from: "The Temple Emanu-El, Twelfth Street, Rev. Dr. Adler's" which takes over half a column.
The front page has nice Reconstruction reports including: "AFFAIRS AT THE SOUTH" "State of Public Sentiment in Eastern Georgia "The State Thrown Open to Immigration" "Interesting Interviews with Prominent Southern Men" "The Labor Question In Georgia" and more.
Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed, the first two leaves have a stain & hole mostly at the blank margin, not remotely close to the Judaica content, otherwise good condition. Priced accordingly.
