The complete issue in very nice, clean condition. Great to have this report in a New York newspaper as it happened at Yankee Stadium.

Background:On July 18, 1999, David Cone pitched a perfect game for the New York Yankees against the Montreal Expos at Yankee Stadium, retiring all 27 batters with 10 strikeouts in a 6–0 victory. The game took place on Yogi Berra Day, with Don Larsen—who threw a perfect game in the 1956 World Series—throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, adding historic weight to the moment. Cone’s performance marked the 16th perfect game in MLB history and the third in Yankees history, following Larsen and David Wells.
