THE ANTI-SLAVERY BUGLE, Salem, Ohio, Jan. 12, 1850  The motto printed in the masthead reads: "No Union With Slaveholders", which sets the tone for the newspaper's theme. This is one of the less common anti-slavery newspapers we have encountered.
Among the articles: "The Work To Be Done" "Selling a Free Boy into Slavery" "Slave-Catching" and more. Page 3 has a report on the California gold rush.
Four pages, foxing to some front page folds, irregular at the blank spine margin does not affect type, otherwise good.
