NEW YORK WORLD-TELEGRAM, December 8 & 9, 1942

(Oct. 8, 1942 issue ) The top of page 26 has a six column heading: "Sinkwich, Here to Accept Honors, Says He's Just Lucky" with related cartoonish illustration.
(Oct. 9, 1942 issue) Near the bottom of page 39 has a three column heading: "Sinkwich Says Mates Made Him Click" with small photo of Sinkwich. (see images)
Each issue is complete with 32 & 46 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, some tiny binding holes along the spine, generally nice.

wikipedia notes: Francis "Frank" Sinkwich (October 10, 1920 – October 22, 1990) won the 1942 Heisman Trophy as a player for the University of Georgia, making him the first recipient from the Southeastern Conference. In the course of a brief but celebrated career in professional football, Sinkwich was selected for the National Football League Most Valuable Player Award. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
