This now-famous independent agency of the U.S. government began in 1961, an initiative of President Kennedy. Page 2 begins with a letter: "From The Director, By Sargent Shriver" with a photo of him. He was Kennedy's brother-in-law.
A four page newspaper from the early years of this program. Measures 11 by 15 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
