Unusually graphic issue on the coronation of Queen Victoria...

Item # 711357 ·
NEW YORK COMMERCIAL ADVERTISER, Aug. 8, 1838  A wonderfully graphic issue on the coronation of Queen Victoria, as almost the entire front page is taken up with a large engraving--vertically oriented--of: "THE CORONATION" as headed at the top, plus: "VICTORIA Crowned June 28th, 1838".
Most of the graphic is a detailed illustration of the parade coronation ceremony. Two prints are horizontally oriented, captioned: "The Crowning of Her Majesty in Westminster Abbey" and: "The Queen on Her Throne Receiving homage of one of the Peers".
Although most American newspapers gave little time & space to reporting Victoria's coronation, if a collector wanted this event in their collection, this would be one of the better issues we have offered.  Four pages, archival strengthening at the spine, minor printing crease in the masthead, good condition.
