* Win and are declared 1929-30 Big Ten champions
* Future UCLA Bruins coach John Wooden (soph.)

The front page of section two (sports) has a seven column heading: "PURDUE WINS BIG 10 TITLE; BEATS MICHIGAN, 44-28" with subheads and stats. Text includes: "...flashy little Johnny Wooden starting the title bound Purdue five..." (see images) John Wooden was a 19 year old sophomore that year and would go on to be one of the most revered coaches in sport's history.
Complete with all 36 pages, rag edition in very nice condition. A few small binding holes along the spine.
