NEW YORK TRIBUNE, Sept. 9, 1864  Among the front page column heads on the Civil War: "General Grant's Preparations" "We Are On The Eve Of Battle" "Early Has Reinforced Lee" "Probable Attack From the Rebels" "Our Men Are Ready For Them" and more.
Additional reports inside including: "The Rebels Near the Last Ditch" which includes a letter signed in type: U. S. Grant; "Robbing the Cradle & the Grave For Men" "Peace Without Submission Would Enslave the North". Also content on General McClellan accepting the nomination for the Presidency. He would run against Lincoln in November. Also: "Interesting Interview With the President" & so much more.
