1917 Barrackville, West Virginia mine explosion...

Item # 708815 ·
EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Oct. 19, 1917

* Barrackville, Marion County, West Virginia
* Jamison Coal and Coke Company No. 7 Mine Explosion and Fire

The front page has a very nice a nice banner headline in red lettering: "FEAR TWENTY KILLED IN MINE" with subhead. (see images) Nice for display.
Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 12 pages, 2 small library stamps within the masthead, irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
