There may not be a better newspaper covering the opening of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge than this, with a banner headline: "THOUSANDS JAM BAY BRIDGE" and a large front page photo. A nice display issue.

Complete in 40 pages, irregular at the spine margin and partially loose at the spine, otherwise in very nice condition.

Background:The San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge officially opened on November 12, 1936. Construction began in 1933, and the bridge was a major engineering achievement of its time, connecting San Francisco to Oakland across the bay. It features two spans separated by Yerba Buena Island. The opening was celebrated as a landmark event, significantly improving transportation in the Bay Area.
