THE VILLAGE VOICE, New York, Dec. 30, 1971

* "A Clockwork Orange"
* Premiere review and ad
* Movie director Stanley Kubrick
* Dystopian crime film

As most might be aware "The Village Voice" was an American news and culture paper, known for being the country's first alternative newsweekly. It introduced free-form, high-spirited, and passionate journalism into the public discourse a tradition it maintained throughout its 60+ year history.
Page 54 has the reprinted review from the New York Times for this publication on the premiere of the famous Stanley Kubrick movie, "A Clockwork Orange" Also a advertisement for the film is on the same page.
I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because there was really no reason to save it at the time.
Complete in 72 pages, a fold at the center, red-inked stamp on the ftpg: "For Xerox Only - Please Return To Front Desk", generally very nice.

Provenance note: This issue comes from The Village Voice's own archives, part of their in-house collection used to create their digital archive.
Alert: Many issues of The Village Voice contain articles and/or photos which some consider offensive, and are certainly inappropriate for children. Please purchase with discretion.
