Page 2 begins with a document signed by President John Adams headed: "Full Powers" given to the ambassadors to France to whom he has given power to work out the details with the ongoing XYZ Affair and Quasi-War with France.
Following this document is the very lengthy: "Instructions" given to the American envoys taking nearly a full page & signed in type by Timothy Pickering, Secretary of State.
Four pages, glued at the spine, water stains, otherwise good condition.
