Nearly half of the front page is taken up with a lengthy letter headed: "AMERICA" "In Provincial Congress, Dec. 10, 1774" that begins: "At a time when the good people of this colony were deprived of their laws and the administration of justice, civil & criminal, when the cruel operations brought on their capital had stagnated almost all their commerce..." with much more concerning the effects of the Intolerable Acts upon America.
It is signed in type: John Hancock, President of the Provincial Congress, and closes in part with: "...With the utmost cheerfulness we assure you of our determination to stand or fall with the liberties of America..." with more.
Following this are more reports concerning events in British/American relations including discussion of: "...offering to sale a pamphlet, intituled, 'A Friendly Address to all Reasonable Americans on the Subject of our Political contentions, etc.', a work highly injurious to the cause of American liberty..." with more. There are additional reports on page 3 concerning the troubling situation in America.
