THE MASSACHUSETTS GAZETTE, Boston, Feb. 13, 1766  Earlier issues of this title were: "The Massachusetts Gazette And Boston News-Letter" with typical volume and issue numbering, along with the notation of Richard and Samuel Draper as publishers.
It is curious that this issue is numbered "0", that no publishers are listed, and the title is shortened. Here is clarification:
As noted in Brigham: "...With the issue of April 19, 1765, the Drapers changed the title to "The Massachusetts Gazette"; abandoned the volume numbering, assigning to each issue a zero in place of the usual number; and in defiance of the provisions of the Stamp Act omitted the names of the publishers in the imprint. With the issue of May 22, 1766, upon the receipt of the news of the repeal of the Act, the Drapers reverted to the title "The Massachusetts Gazette And Boston News-Letter" and resumed the former numbering with no. 3268...".
