The front page has a report of a slave insurrection in Cuba. Page 3 has a broadside-like announcement, in larger than normal type & black-bordered, announcing the death of naval hero Stephen Decatur, mentioning his death as a result of a duel.
Four pages, nice condition.

Note: Stephen Decatur, a renowned U.S. naval hero, died on March 22, 1820, after a duel with Commodore James Barron at Bladensburg, Maryland. The duel arose from a long-standing feud dating back to Barron's 1807 court-martial, in which Decatur played a key role. Their bitter exchange of letters eventually led Barron to challenge Decatur. Both men were seriously wounded, but Decatur succumbed to his injuries that evening. His death was widely mourned, and he is remembered for his patriotism and heroic service in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812.
