The back page has a very nice letter: "...from an officer in one of the provincial regiments in America...dated Albany, Sept. 15" which begins: "You will hear from many hands the successful blow struck against the French interest in America by the taking of Cadaraque, or (as the late masters of it called it) Frontenac. Our Americans value this acquisition more than the reduction of Crown Point and Ticonderoga..." with further detail.
This notable battle of the French & Indian War occurred near present-day Kingston, Ontario.
Eight pages, 8 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
