THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS, England, June 29, 1861  The front page has an article: "And American Statesman" which is focused on Stephen Douglas. Also half of the front page is a print captioned: "The Civil War In America: Our Kitchen in the Camp of the 2nd New York Regiment" which includes a Black man.
Page 3 has nearly a full column of report headed: "The Civil War In; America" with subheads: "Belligerent Operations on
Sea & Land" "The Confederate States" "The Neutral States" "The Northern States" and: "Our Illustrations".
The following page is almost entirely taken up with two prints of; "The Civil War In America" captioned: "Some of 'Wilson's Boys' in Wooden Camp at Staten Island" and: "My Headquarters in the Camp of the 2nd N.Y. Regiment".
England had a vested interest in the war, supporting the Confederacy because of its great need for cotton.  
Complete in 24 pages, very nice condition.
