EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Jan. 11, 1913

* Early Shoeless Joe Jackson to quit for farming ?
* Cleveland Naps (Indians) MLB baseball
* Over six years prior to the "Black Sox" scandal

The top of page 3 has a one column heading: "JOE JACKSON IS ANXIOUS TO BE A FARMER" with subhead. Text  begins with: "Yep! Just as soon as I get my Farm paid for and well stocked I am going to quit baseball..." (see images) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 18 pages, small library stamps within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
