THE TRIDENT DAILY NEWS, aboard the ship Brazil, at sea, June 23, 1945 The Brazil was a US turbo-electric ocean liner, completed in 1928 as Virginia, and refitted and renamed Brazil in 1938. From 1942 to 1946 she was employed by the War Shipping Administration & operated as a troopship transporting soldiers in World War II.
This issue was printed upon its arrival in New York Harbor, with a wealth of war-related content.
Eight pages, 8 by 13 inches, crudely produced (typical of "camp" newspapers during the war), once connected with a single staple but not four separate sheets, minor margin wear, good condition.
