FITCHBURG DAILY SENTINEL, Massachusetts, Sept. 6, 1901  A rather dramatic issue as the middle portion is a very wide column set much like a broadside with a large print of McKinley and headed: "THE PRESIDENT SHOT" beneath which is text reporting the latest information beginning: "President McKinley was shot by an unknown man this afternoon....".
Also on the ftpg. is: "Not Necessarily Fatal" "Conditions Favorable" and other subheads. 
Complete in 8 pages, small portion from a lower corner missing not affecting McKinley text, irregular & partially loose at the spine, various small margins tears.
