Red and blue ink to celebrate Memorial Day...

Item # 697739 ·
INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL NEWS, Scotland, Pennsylvania, May 26, 1898  An in-house newspaper of this school which is a "Member of the Pennsylvania Commission of Soldiers' Orphan Schools", which by definition seemed to focus on those orphaned by military action.
The school still exists today, however is being dissolved after 114 years of existence. Given its close proximity to Gettysburg and its connection to the military, It is not surprising that much of the content is reflective on the Civil War.
This issue celebrates Memorial Day, and doe so with red and blue ink on pages 1 and 6.
Six pages, toning to the front page with foxing to the bottom quadrant, a few archival mends inside, some irregular to the margins of the inside leaf.
