Grover Cleveland wins: 32 engravings celebrate the news...

Item # 697738 ·
DAILY PATRIOT, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Nov. 17, 1884  A wonderfully decorative post-election issue, the likes of which we rarely see.
The front page is mostly consumed by 38 rooster engravings celebrating the election of Grover Cleveland, whose likeliness is at the center of the front page (along with his Vice President, Hendricks). The rooster was once the symbol of the Democratic Party.
Four pages, there are several archival mends to tears on the inside pages and a few to the front, with some wear near the central fold. A great issue for display.
