Congratulations regarding the Battle of Eutaw Springs... Battle near Bergen, New Jersey...
THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, March 19, 1782 Page 6 has a full column headed: "America - From the New York Gazette" which has various reports, some including: "...was laden with 1100 thirteen inch bombshells. A ship carrying 16 guns laden with brass mortars..." and: "Minister Plenipotentiary of France to the American rebel Congress, having long solicited that body to issue an edict prohibiting the use of British manufactures in all the revolted Colonies..." and: ".,..a select body of rebels...from the Jersey brigade of light infantry...attacked the post of the loyal refugees at Bergen...The rebels had for some time past meditated an attack...The advanced sentinel, a negro man, was bayoneted by the rebels..." with more on related wear items.
The back page has a letter signed in type by: H. Clinton, which begins: "I desire you will do me the honor to accept my thanks for your conduct in the action of the Eutaw Springs...".
