Although most of page 2 is taken up with a wealth of fine baseball game reports, including many box scores, perhaps the most notable content is on page 3 headed: "The Races at Long Branch" "Inauguration of Monmouth Park" "Fine Gathers and Good Sport--Grand Success of the Enterprise".
This lengthy report--taking over a full page--reports on the founding of the famous Monmouth Park Racetrack in New Jersey, still in existence today.
Sixteen pages, 11 by 15 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
