Item # 695018 ·
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICAN, Walpole, New Hampshire, Jan. 25, 1813

* Very rare publication
* Cheshire County
* War of 1812 reporting

An extremely scarce newspaper existing only from July 4, 1812 thru July 5, 1813. This is the volume 1, number 30 issue. Not surprisingly, this is the first of this title we have offered in our 47 years, having come from the private collection.
Being from during the War of 1812, there are war-related reports including a lengthy front page: "Impressment of Seamen" which was one of the causes of the war. Inside includes: "U. States' Brig Argus" "Gallant & Destructive Engagement" "French Influence!" and more.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, archival strengthening at the blank spine, very nice condition.
Category: Pre-Civil War
Price
$157.00
100% Authentic: Original printing, never a reproduction.
