THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Aug. 4, 1759 The back page has a report concerning inoculations against smallpox, beginning: "We hear from Paris that inoculation for the small-pox begins to lose credit in that kingdom, occasioned by the sudden deaths that have followed it in several parts. It should seem that in our American colonies they have made considerable improvements in this operation..." with more.
