The front page of the sport's section has a nice banner headline: "BEARS WIN, 33 TO 14; PLAY FOR TITLE SUNDAY" with subheads, lineups and large related photo. More inside. First report coverage on the very first NFL divisional playoff game ever played. Great to have in this Chicago publication, very rare as such.
Also notable is the official announcement of Ted Williams' .406 batting average for the 1941 season. The top of page 30 has a one column heading: "WILLIAMS' .406 MARK DOESN'T TELL THE STORY" with subheads and list of batting averages.
