Among the front page reports on the Civil War are; "Vicksburg" "Lincoln and the Spirits" the latter noting in part: "...spiritual exhibitions made in the presence of Lincoln and his Cabinet. Napoleon, Gen. Knox, and others were consulted s to the best mode of conducting the war. Lincoln must be in great straits when he has to look to the other world for military counsels..." with more.
